Ben Johnsen was born in Norway in 1954, and both his parents were also playing.
He started to play on accordion when he was just some few years old,and played in public the first
time in the age of 5!
When he was 12 years old, he had his first gig, on a Yamaha B4.
In the age of 15, he became a Norwegian Champion on the Yamaha organ.
Later, he had a 6 piece rock band, and was touring for some years around Norway.
